Commitment to Community Service

Projects include:

• On-going support to YWCA's Oasis House, a transitional housing program for battered women and their children. Financial aid, clothing, cell phones, and personal products are provided.
• Yearly scholarships to a local community college for students majoring in the Deaf Studies curriculum.
• Holiday gifts for the residents of a nursing home.
• Financial donations to a hospital's Infant Screening Program.
• Hearing devices for children in need.
• Story hours for deaf children at a town library, and the donation of books on coping with deafness.
• Funding for a startup Girl Scout program for forty-five girls in a housing project and homeless shelter.
