Commitment to Community Service

Projects include:

• The YWCA of Greater Lawrence’s Fina and Oasis Houses. Quota of Andover provides both financial support and donations of clothing and personal products along with Christmas gifts. The programs assist teen mothers as well as survivors of domestic abuse, providing housing, education and social services that develop and sustain economic independence and stability.
• The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of the Merrimack Valley is the beneficiary of monetary donations from Quota of Andover. TIP assists people experiencing emotional trauma, such as death in the family or critical injury, by providing immediate support to help lessen the impact and prevent further injury.
• Esperanza Academy of Lawrence, MA benefits from Quota of Andover with our financial contributions as well as hands on volunteerism, including meal preparation, tutoring and teaching. Esperanza Academy is a tuition free middle school for low-income girls of diverse races, cultures and faiths which provides a quality education that helps to develop academic competence, confidence, curiosity, integrity and hope for the future.
• Northern Essex Community College receives a yearly scholarship from Quota to aid a student in the Deaf Studies program who will be working to help the hearing impaired.
• Partners for a Greater Voice of Ipswich, MA are dedicated to improving the lives of hearing impaired children in developing countries. Quota reaches out globally with their contributions to help purchase hearing aids for those children in need.
• Holiday gifts are purchased each year by members of Quota and a party is held for the residents of a local nursing home who have no family or very little contact with anyone outside the facility.
• A Story Hour is held by our members at a local public library once a year especially for hearing impaired children, with the aid of an American Sign Translator.
• Financial assistance is given by Quota of Andover to qualifying individuals living in the Merrimack Valley who need help in purchasing hearing aids or service animals.
